CS-V and the CoolSweat Center.
BEFORE YOU BUY
What do I need to run CS-V?
- macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
- An Apple silicon or Intel Mac
- An AU or VST3 host — we test in Logic Pro and Ableton Live
Is there a Windows version, or AAX for Pro Tools?
Not at the moment. CS-V is Mac only, in AU and VST3.
Is there a free demo?
Yes. The demo is the whole instrument with every feature audible, so you can hear exactly what CS-V does in your own sessions. It has three limits:
- a short burst of noise about every 40 seconds
- EXPORT is switched off
- it doesn’t save with your project — reopen the session and CS-V starts fresh
Install it from the CoolSweat Center with try the demo. No key needed.
Do you offer refunds?
No. Because the free demo lets you try everything first, all sales are final. Please try the demo in your own setup before buying.
INSTALLING & ACTIVATING
How do I install CS-V?
Download the CoolSweat Center, open it, and choose install on CS-V (or try the demo). The Center puts the AU and VST3 in place for you.
How do I activate the full version?
Enter the licence key and the email from your Gumroad receipt — in the CoolSweat Center, or in the activation panel CS-V shows before it’s activated.
How many computers can I use it on?
Two — for example a laptop and a studio machine.
Do I need to be online?
Only once, to activate. After that CS-V runs offline.
My DAW doesn’t show CS-V.
Rescan your plug-ins after installing. In Ableton Live, turn on Use VST3 Plug-in System Folders in Preferences → Plug-Ins and rescan. In Logic Pro, open the Plug-in Manager and rescan CS-V if it’s listed as failed.
USING CS-V
How do I get updates?
The CoolSweat Center shows UPDATE when a new version is out, and CS-V marks its menu with a small amber dot. One click installs it.
Where are my saved MOVES and default settings?
In ~/Library/CoolSweat/CS-V/ — MOVES in the MOVES
folder, your default setup in default.state.
How do I uninstall?
Open the CoolSweat Center and choose remove on CS-V.
