PRIVACY

What we collect, why, and who handles it. Short version: as little as we can.

BUYING CS-V

Purchases are handled by Gumroad. Gumroad takes your payment and your email address and sends you your licence key; we never see your card details. Gumroad’s own privacy policy covers what they do with your data.

Buying does not sign you up to anything. Buyer emails are never added to our newsletter.

ACTIVATING AND UPDATING

• When you activate, CS-V or the CoolSweat Center sends your licence key and email to Gumroad once to check the key. The activation is then stored on your computer, and CS-V runs offline after that.
• CS-V and the Center check this website for updates. That is an ordinary web request for a public file; it carries no account, key or personal identifier.

THE NEWSLETTER

Only if you sign up. We keep the email address you give us, the date, and which page you signed up on, in a private spreadsheet that only we can open. We use it for one thing: emailing CoolSweat news, a few times a year at most. We don’t sell or share it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends.

THIS WEBSITE

• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes each request (including your IP address) to deliver the page and protect the site, and keeps aggregate traffic statistics. We run no other analytics, no ad trackers, and set no cookies.
• Your browser stores a small note on your own device to remember that you closed or answered the newsletter card, so it doesn’t keep asking.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, and the CS-V page loads Gumroad’s checkout script, so those services see your browser’s request.

YOUR DATA

You can ask to see or delete anything we hold about you. A contact address for this is being set up and will be listed here.
